THE SEASIDERS reserve team braved freezing conditions and a poor playing surface to record an emphatic 4-0 win over Wrexham at Fleetwood Town.

Pool went in front after just 23 seconds when Dax Hoogerwerf flicked home from close range after a great cross from the left from first year scholar Ross Lloyd.

A 25-yard free kick on 20 minutes saw The Tangerines double their lead, Danny Coid stepped up and curled round the wall in into the net with a contender for goal of the season..

The half hour mark saw both teams reduced to ten men following a confrontation between Levi Mackin and Danny Coid, the pair refused to part from each other, sparking off a brawl between the two sides and came as little surprise that referee Colin Harwood sent the pair off when order was restored.

As half time approached, Pool extended their lead Blackpool even further, young defender Phil Doran slotted home after exchanging passes on the left and bursting through the Wrexham defence to score his first goal for the club.

The second half was equally as entertaining with both teams creating several chances, Pool added a fourth when Danny Mitcheley finised off a run with a low shot beyond the keeper.
