Pool return to winning ways
THE Seasiders reserve team returned to winning ways on Wednesday evening when they recorded a 3-1 win over Lancashire rivals Burnley at Accrington Stanley's Interlink Express Stadium.
Pool who included Les Pogliacomi, Danny Warrender, Neil Wood, Ciaran Donnelly, Simon Wiles, Matthew Blinkhorn and recent loan singing Kevin Lee.
Pool got off to the worst possible start when they allowed DUANE COURTNEY to volley home from a corner.
Pool then rode their luck and were fortunate to remain just the one goal down with Burnley forcing Les Pogliacomi into several decent saves.
Pool the hit back on the stroke of half time when KEVIN LEE rose the highest to nod home from ten yards.
With both teams making changes during the second half, it was Steve Thompson's men who added to their tally SEAN PATERSON rounded off a great move down the right wing.
With Burnley pressing for an equaliser Pool hit the hosts on the break and SEAN PATERSON made it 3-1 with a great finish.
