Claus joined the club in August 2007 from Coventry City and soon proved his credentials in the Pool midfield. It was his partnership with Keith Southern in the engine room that helped propel Pool on their ten-match unbeaten run eclipsing in a Wembley appearance and promotion to the Championship.
This season after overcoming a few injury niggles, Claus has regained his place in the starting fold and scored his first goal of the campaign against local rivals Burnley on New Years Day.
