With the dust starting to settle on a great weekend, details regarding season tickets for 2008/9 have today been announced by the club's board of directors.

Despite the increases in admission prices, Bloomfield Road will remain one of the cheapest venues to watch live Championship football.

The club will continue to offer three discount periods and a payment plan where supporters can spread the cost of their ticket over six months.

On the decision to increase season ticket prices, club chairman Karl Oyston told the official website "With Scunthorpe and Colchester being relegated, we are now the smallest club in terms of capacity in the Championship. We are fully committed to giving Simon Grayson every available resource to build on what has been a great season. Simon will be attended a board meeting on Tuesday afternoon where his team strengthening plans were ratified for next season and a decision has also been made to increase the capacity of the stadium with several options being discussed"

Pool manager Simon Grayson added, "The support the team and I have received over the last two and half years has been fantastic, everyone connected to the club really do appreciate the time and more importantly the expense you go make to follow us. This season has been a fantastic and to survive was a major achievement, but we know next season will be even more difficult. We have identified areas that we need to strengthen and with the support of you and the board of directors I am sure we can enjoy another good season next year."

Season tickets will go on sale on Wednesday at 9am, for more information, supporters can contact the Pool ticket office on 0870 443 1953.
