Blackpool take on Plymouth at Home Park on Saturday looking to score against the only team they have yet to find the net against this season.

The game between the two clubs back at Bloomfield Road in October ended 0-0, and there has since been plenty of changes down at Home Park after Ian Holloway departed for Leicester City.

Paul Sturrock returned to the club he had previously managed from Swindon in November and has battled a couple of player departures to keep the sides' season up and running.

The likes of Barry Hayles and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake departed in the January transfer window but the team have consistently remained on course for a play-off spot until just a few weeks ago.

With the play-offs now ruled out, Sturrock has taken the decision to now inform the players which ones will not be having their contracts renewed in the summer. Club captain Paul Wotton, Lilian Nalis and Nick Chadwick are among those players to be leaving, while full-back Paul Connelly has rejected a new deal.

The match will be the Pilgrims last at home this season and manager Paul Sturrock may recall Jermaine Easter and Chris Clarke to the starting line-up.

The Seasiders on the other hand will be looking to mathematically secure safety in the division and finish the season on a high.

Keigan Parker and John Hills are ruled out until the end of the season through injury but apart from that, Simon Grayson has a fully-fit squad to choose from.

Although the manager says he may make 'one or two' changes, he has also said that he wants the players who have played so well this season to finish the campaign off.

One definite inclusion in the squad will be Joe Martin who is set to finally make his debut following his loan move from Tottenham. Paul Dickov will be making his last appearance for the Seasiders since arriving on-loan.

On his team selection, Larry said: "I won't be making many changes. If I have to do, one or two might get a game from now until the end of the season that haven't been in around the picture. Joe Martin, for example, will probably be in around the 16 in the next couple of games. Whether he starts or not, we'll have to wait and see.

"But I think the players who have played the majority of the games deserve to finish the season because they've done very well and, again, we're not treating the game lightly because we aren't safe for definite, so we have to make sure we've got the points and then we can enjoy the Watford game after that," he added.

The teams have met 39 teams in the league with the Seasiders having the edge with 15 victories to the Pilgrims' 11. The sides have drew twice. The last Blackpool and Plymouth game at Home Park was a 1-0 defeat in October 2003, but the season before Pool won 3-1.
