SEASIDERS' keeper Paul Rachubka admits the team don't fear anyone ahead of the trip to Ninian Park to face FA Cup finalists Cardiff this weekend.

Four games of the Championship season remain with Pool set to also face Sheffield Wednesday and Watford at home and an away trip to Plymouth in the penultimate game of the campaign.

It may not seem an ideal set of fixtures to end a season on, but Rachubka insists performances so far this season have shown that the team are not for shirking challenges.

"Whether it is West Brom or Cardiff, we're not scared of anyone we've got to play because we've given everyone a good game this season. We feel like we can get anything out of any game. We just need to put in a good performance Saturday and we feel we'll be very close to getting three points with that," he said.

A surprise win for Barnsley at Watford last night has intensified the situation at the bottom of the table even more, and the keeper feels the league table is a lot tighter than a few weeks ago.

"I think it's always very tight either end of the table. We've never looked up, we've always been looking behind us, and we've never really pushed on from that little run we had during Christmas," he revealed.

"We know we've still got a lot of hard work to do and we're going to keep doing it. We need to turn this run around really and push on and get three points from our next game."

Rachubka admits it was uncharacteristic of the side to lose their way slightly after the penalty against West Brom on Tuesday night, in a decision that he felt 'changed the game'.

Despite the various implications of other results at the moment, Chubs is adamant that the Seasiders must concentrate solely on their results, rather than anybody else's.

"We want to just get three points on Saturday and go from there because then it all changes again, so if we keep doing our job, we don't have to worry about anybody else," he said.

Meanwhile, the keeper has welcomed the loan arrival of Scott Flinders, who has been brought in from Crystal Palace to increase competition with Chubs. The current number one feels competition is only a good thing to keep everyone on their toes.

"That's what the manager wants throughout the squad - it's no different for a goalkeeper," he said. "I've worked hard all season and I'll make sure I'm picked on Saturday and I'll keep doing that today, tomorrow and before the game Saturday.

"I'll be making sure that I'll do my best all the time, which is good for everyone. I think that's the best way for it to be and I think everybody understands that's the way it is. It can make the team better and hopefully push us on up," he added.
