Reserves Hammer Bury
MICHAEL JACKSON came through 77 minutes against a youthful Bury's reserve side on Wednesday night at Fleetwood Town, whilst Keith Southern got on the score sheet and completed 64 minutes on his return to action. Deadline day signing Joe Martin also impressed in his first appearance in a Tangerine shirt woth Pool proving too strong for a Shakers team who were coached by former Pool striker Mike Sheron.
Second year scholar DOMINIC MERELLA got the scoring underway the young striker rounded off a fine move after just two minutes whilst midfielder KEITH SOUTHERN made it 2-0 on the quarter hour.
After the break a SIMON WILES penalty made it 3-0 after the impressive Joe Martin was upended inside the box. JOE MARTIN then rounded off a fine display to make it 4-0 on 67 minutes, the Tottenham man showed a great strength and a good turn of pace to get behind the Bury defence and slot past the keeper.
The Shakers managed to pull one back on 73 minutes when the Seasiders failed to clear a right wing corner but it was Steve Thompson's men who continued to dominate a one sided affair.
