CLUB CAPTAIN Michael Jackson makes his comeback from injury on Wednesday afternoon when the Seasiders reserve team travel to Preston in the Pontins League. Jackson (34) has been sidelined since mid February with a torn hamstring and the experienced defender is expected to play 45 minutes in Wednesday's derby which kicks off at 2pm.

Jackson is joined by several first team hopefuls including Danny Coid, Stuart Green, Andy Welsh, David Fox and John Hills whilst Paul Tierney and SImon Wiles will be hoping to impress any visiting scout ahead of Thursday's 5pm deadline, the duo have been told they can leave Bloomfield Road if they can find another club.

Latvian keeper Pavels Steinbors continues in goal whislt the line up includes an un-named trialist understood to be a young defender from a Premier League club.
