The Seasiders celebrated Latvian Independence day by extending their unbeaten run with a 3-1 victory over play-off chasing Huddersfield Town.Keigan Parker, Andy Morrell and Keith Southern netted in what turned out to a pulsating encounter.
Huddersfield began proceedings on a cold, blustery November afternoon, attacking the South Stand but it was Simon Grayson's men back in Tangerine who began brightly, a series of throw ins down the left flank saw Carl Dickinson's curling cross half cleared by the visitors defence, Pool then forced another two throw inside the Terriers half, which ultimately saw Keigan Parker earn Pool the first corner of the afternoon, but unfortunately for the Seasiders the Huddersfield stood firm and cleared the danger.
The swirling conditions almost gifted Huddersfield the lead on ten minutes, a poor defensive header from Michael Jackson fell straight at Schofield who saw his shot blocked by Jackson who had recovered well.
Carl Dickinson picked up the game's first yellow card of the afternoon on 18 minutes following a late challenge on Andy Booth. Two minutes later Dickinson was joined in the book by Young following a tussle with Adrian Forbes.
Pool's best chance of the opening 25 minutes fell to Adrian Forbes who acrobatically headed wide following a great cross from Carl Dickinson. A minute later the Seasiders took the lead through KEIGAN PARKER, Adrian Forbes sent a great ball over the top, Parker scampered clear and calmly slotted beyond Glennon..
Andy Morrell became the second Pool player to pick up a yellow card, the former Coventry man tried in vain to prevent Taylor-Fletcher from shadowing the ball out of play.
The half hour point saw Pool extend their lead, Wes Hoolahan intercepted a ball from Glennon towards Taylor-Fletcher, the talented Irishman saw his curling cross take a deflection straight to KEITH SOUTHERN who lashed home, to prompt a chorus of "Can we play you every week!"
Keith Southern almost made it 3-0 on 34 minutes with a rasping first time strike which whistled just over the Terriers cross bar.
Huddersfield's best chance of a goal fell nine minutes before the break when a teasing curling cross from the left forced Carl Dickinson to turn behind at the far post.
Andy Morrell headed a great Hoolahan cross over on 37 minutes as Pool continued to try and pass the ball in the difficult windy conditions.
Wes Hoolahan forced Pool a corner on 40 minutes, but the driven delivery from David Fox failed to trouble the Huddersfield defence.
In the third minute of stoppage time, Huddersfield pulled one back, a long punt forward for Glennon was helped on and the ball fell to GARY TAYLOR-FLETCHER who beat Evans to nod home and give the Huddersfield faithful some hope.

Pool should have extended their lead after just three minutes of the second half, Keigan Parker once again sprang the visitors offside trap, this time the diminutive Scot's first touch was slightly heavy which forced Parker wide, but he still rounded the keeper and fired towards goal, yours truly was already out his seat celebrating the goal when John McCombe appeared at the far post to expertly clear.
Danny Schofield fired a free kick high over the bar after Shaun Barker had been penalised for a foul on Booth.
With one or two berating the referee for not awarding Pool a free kick after Shaun Barker had been fouled Pool burst forward and made it 3-1. A great ball from David Fox found Wes Hoolahan who threaded a great ball behind the Huddersfield defence to ANDY MORRELL who
David Fox picked up a yellow card for am innocuous challenge whilst Rhys Evans had to be alert to punch clear a swirling corner for the right.
Pool made their first change of the afternoon on 76 minutes when Ben Burgess replaced Adrian Forbes, the change saw Morrell switch the right flank with Burgess operating down the middle with Keigan Parker.
Pool's old tormentor Luke Beckett was thrown in to the action to try and rescue something for Peter Jackson's men. The former Oldham and Stockport striker found himself in a two on one situation but he could only direct his finish wide. That chance marked a good spell of pressure for the visitors, a goal line clearance from Andy Morrell and a couple of decent saves from Rhys Evans saw Pool record another great win and join the pack chasing a play-off place.
